Caudron G.III

Description

Used by several nations during the First World War, the Caudron G.III was a successful trainer and observation aircraft. Known for its great climbing ability, the Caudron was a suitable aircraft to be used in mountainous terrain and was considered ideal for the needs of the Italian squadrons. Following the war a Caudron was used to become the first aircraft to cross the Andes Mountains. Aviatrix Adrienne Bolland made this historic flight in 1919.
